Lyrics

Now at last the storm has past
The sun is breaking through
The world is coming back to life
The old has been made new
But the valleys were so dead
And so empty for so long
Its hard to heal when the river runs dry

Painted skies and summer nights
Always have to end
Never easy to admit
Even harder to pretend
When your heart is bent on one thing
But it’s not reality
That’s when faith, and some grace step in.

So make a way in the wild
In the wilderness to grow
Breakaway from the old
From the pain you’ve come to know
Even wild horses know exactly what to do
And where to run to when the river runs dry

Caught up in the race this world
Tells you to fight through
So many walls and hidden fences
That keep me from me
Where the waters once were flowing
Now a wasteland of a dream
It’s time to go when the river runs dry

Make a way in the wild
In the wilderness to grow
Breakaway from the old
From the pain you’ve come to know
Even wild horses know exactly what to do
And where to run to
Where do they run to? And can I run, too…when the river runs dry
